Third Session: Compare Personal Identity Cards


In this lesson you will get to know the members of the partner group.
Like all lessons in 'Home and Community', this lesson is divided into 3 parts.
If you have already completed a part of the lesson, skip to the next part.
Personal Activity
1. Read the personal stories of the members of your partner group.
2. Choose the member whose story you liked.
3. Think about questions to ask about the life of the members of the partner group.
Group Activity
1. Consider several aspects of the lifestyle of the members of your partner group.
2. Raise questions about the lifestyle of the members of your partner group.
3. Discuss the questions and learn what they tell about you.
Interactive Part
1. Ask the members of your partner group about their lifestyle.
2. Post the questions in the forum.


Personal Activity
A. Read the Stories of the Partner Group

Enter the forum and choose one or more stories which interest you.

Examine the various aspects which reflect the lifestyle of the participants.

B. Are you ready?

Consider the following questions and answer them in the writing page:
  • Why did you choose a certain story?

  • What can you learn from the story about the writer's lifestyle? (Is his/her lifestyle similar to yours? How does it differ?)

  • Which lifestyle aspects are unique in the story you read? (e.g. the writer has six brothers).


  • Which aspects of the writer's lifestyle would you like to adopt?

Think about a list of questions you would like to ask your friend from the partner group.

B. Try this:

Discuss the following questions with your friends:

  • What can you learn about your group from the questions they asked?

  • Were questions repeated? If yes, why?

  • Are there unique questions from your group? What do they tell about you? (e.g.: the question 'How is it to live near the sea?' can indicate that you live far away from it).


  • What can you learn about the partner group from the questions you asked? (e.g.: the question 'What does it mean to be Reform?' can tell something about your group's connection to religion).

C. Discussion about the Stories

  • What do the stories of your partner group have in common?

  • Are there differences? Which?

  • What can you learn about the group from the stories of its members?


D. Try this

Decide together what questions you want to ask your friends from your partner group.

  • Add questions which interest you personally and which do not appear in the list of questions.

  • If somebody from the partner group asks you a question answer it.
